Advanced Life Support Group – safeguarding courses
The RCPCH is proud to be working with Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG) to provide safeguarding education that enables you to fulfil the competencies outlined in the Progress+ curriculum and the Intercollegiate Document.
ALSG offer two courses that enable you to keep up-to-date with your safeguarding competencies:
Child Protection: Recognition and Response (CPRR)
This course, which take core trainees through possible indicators of abuse and neglect, consists of a one day face-to-face course supplemented with eLearning.
Child Protection in Practice (CPiP)
The course, which provides specialty trainees with more in-depth knowledge of child protection practice, consists of a modular eLearning programme.
Want to teach CPRR?
ALSG is keen to hear from those who have completed CPiP as well as consultant paediatricians and associate specialists who would like to join their teaching faculty. You must have attended an ALSG Generic Instructor Course or equivalent or can show your teaching experience with your CV. You can express your interest via the ALSG website.
